The mechanism that standing in the center of the space is rotating a shovel inside sand, wear it in a very low process. all the the connectors and gears are 3D printed with PLA.

Artificial Tears humidifiers, polyacrylic acid solution as known as "artificial tears" humidify the air inside the space and accelerate the corrosion in the naked iron.

Work description

Every time the shovel hits the sand, a process of erosion or mechanical wear occurs in a minor manner. The connections between the iron atoms from which the bottom part of the shovel is made are cut off from the central iron cluster of the shovel and become part of the sand that erodes it itself. The constant change in shape cannot be seen with the naked eye, as is the case with the pitch drop experiment. At the Greenhouse like space, standing 2 closed systems, the one as described above, the shovel wearing system upon the cemetery sand. the other is a closed terrarium with an Israeli work ants, the underground sand is colored with India ink and as they digging their tunnels the leave a trace, circling a white glass crystals made out of the particular sand at 1800C degrees. Outside, at the open, more then 80 square meters of Corn was sowed and grown as a part of the exhibition process.
